Morris employees receive long service awards

15/12/2006

Five employees from one of Loughborough's longest established businesses, Morris Material Handling, received the recognition they deserve recently, each of them having completed 25 years' loyal service with the company.

And in true industry tradition, all five received an engraved watch that was presented to them by managing director, Steve Davis, at a special buffet luncheon held on their behalf.

Comments Steve Davis: "I would like to extend my personal thanks and appreciation for the loyal and dedicated service that they have each shown the company over the last twenty five years. Morris is privileged to benefit from the continuing longevity of a workforce that oozes experience and commitment, and the presentation of these latest long service awards bears testimony to this fact."

But what do the recipients of long service awards think? Maura Dunn, who has paid each and everyone of Morris' employees on time over the past 25 years, says that she not only 'wishes she had joined Morris straight from school', but is now 'looking forward to spending the next 12 years with Morris until her retirement!'

Project/Installation Engineer, Steve Naylor, on the other hand added that 'together with other members of his family they have clocked up more than 100 years service with Morris.' And the final word rests with Rob Tombs, who claims that he has 'loved every minute working for the company.'
