Morris drives home maintenance efficiency message with new van fleet

Looking to further improve the efficiency of its maintenance services operation in the field, leading lifting services provider, Morris Material Handling, has invested in a new vehicle fleet for its 80-strong team of technical support engineers.

In addition to being liveried in Morris Material Handling's highly visible branding, each of the new Citroen Berlingo vans comes equipped with a bespoke interior that has been purpose designed to accommodate a diverse array of both mechanical and electrical componentry that the technicians need at their finger tips when responding to any type of service call out.

Commenting on the decision to invest in the new vehicle fleet, Pat Campbell, Operations Director Maintenance Services said: "It's all about constantly improving the efficiency of our services operation, in particular our ability to deliver better first fix rates across our entire customer base, and on a nationwide basis. We fully appreciate how costly downtime can be for organisations, both large and small, so one of our primary objectives is to ensure that, wherever possible, it is minimised. Furthermore, this latest initiative demonstrates to our clients how focused we are on delivering first class maintenance support."

Forming just one part of Morris Material Handling's maintenance service operation that is geared around delivering proven and effective service, support, inspection and training packages across all sectors of industry, the new vehicle fleet will operate out of the company's nationwide network of 15 service centres, 24/7 and 365 days a year.

"Not only are the new vans equipped with a vastly improved selection of key and common components that will enable our technicians to carry out first time repairs, we expect their striking livery will also help make their presence felt on the road," concludes Pat Campbell.
